Join us on 23 March for the online launch of the latest Earth4All deep-dive paper, Africa’s just transition opportunity: decolonising economic transformation for climate resilience, published on 9 March.

Co-author Fadhel Kaboub (Associate Professor of Economics, Denison University and member of the Earth4All Transformational Economics Commission) and contributor Amos Wemanya (Senior Climate Advisor, Power Shift Africa) will present the paper’s core arguments — that Africa’s path to a just transition cannot be separated from structural economic decolonisation, and that addressing the continent’s deep-rooted deficits in food, energy and manufacturing is essential to breaking cycles of debt and climate vulnerability. They will also make the case for why much of what currently passes for “climate finance” risks deepening, rather than reversing, Africa’s economic entrapment.
Moderated by Lewis Akenji (executive director, Hot or Cool Institute, and member of the Earth4All Transformational Economics Commission), the session will include a live Q&A.
