A World Worth ChoosingBuilding a Holistic Vision for a Safe and Just Future

Wednesday 24 June 10:00 – 12:00 BST, Friends House, London

The sustainability movement faces a pivotal moment. Climate, biodiversity, poverty, and inequality are being treated as competing priorities, when in truth, they are different expressions of the same systemic failure.

This session challenges that false trade-off. Bringing together leading scientists, advocates, and communicators, we will explore what a genuinely just world on a safe planet looks like and why it is not a sacrifice, but the most compelling vision for prosperity, resilience, and belonging in the 21st century.

Speakers include Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Executive Chair at Earth4All, Giulio Boccaletti, Co-Founder of Chloris Geospatial, Naoko Ishii, Center for Global Commons, University of Tokyo, Laura Pereira, Earth Commission, Jeremy Oppenheim, Founding Partner at Systemiq, and Lucy Stone, Founder and Executive Director at Climate Spring.

A Just World on a Safe Planet—The Case for Shared Stewardship

Wednesday 24 June 14:00 – 16:00 BST, Friends House, London

At a moment when multilateralism is being tested and 7 of 9 Planetary Boundaries have already been crossed, this invite-only session jointly hosted by the Climate Governance Commission, Earth4All, the Global Commons Alliance (GCA), the Mobilizing an Earth Governance Alliance (MEGA), and the World Federalist Movement, will convene a diverse group of thinkers and practitioners to explore what it would take to cooperate differently and to ask how a shared culture of stewardship can underpin the governance reforms our world urgently needs.
