We hear about climate change, inequality, and injustice every day, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But the future isn’t fixed. It’s shaped by what we do next.
That’s where you come in.
We’re inviting young people around the world to imagine new stories about the future – and share them in a creative challenge. When we tell better stories, we create space for change.
Learn more about the challenge on this page and submit your entry by 20 July 2025!
Check out our interactive storybook, our Zine with The Fifty Percent, or read the stories of Ayotola and Samiha on our blog.
To get started, ask yourself:
If you have questions, you can contact us or send us a DM on social media!
In our interactive storybook, we follow four girls growing up in different parts of the world. Now we want to hear from you.
What could life be like for a young person in your country in the future – if we work together to solve global challenges? That’s the future we call the Giant Leap.
You can write, draw, paint, or film a story that brings this future to life. It could be a diary entry, a comic, a short story, or a video. However you imagine it, we want to see it.
Read the terms and conditions, with a parent or guardian if necessary.
Send your entry by 20 July 2025 and you could win €50 in book vouchers, a copy of Earth for All, and be published in a special digital magazine!
Entries are open to young people around the world and can be sent in any language.
Entries will be judged in three categories: 15 and under, 16-18, 19-21 inclusive.
Written entries should be no longer than 1000 words. Videos should be under 1.5 minutes.
If you’re looking for ways to inspire learners to think creatively about the future, we’ve compiled some resources to help:
Stories of the Future Facilitation Guide: this guide offers an immersive methodology to talk about the future we can build together by designing our daily lives of tomorrow.
“Storytelling for Advocacy” Zine: this zine, developed by The Fifty Percent in collaboration with Earth4All, brings to life the contrasting experiences of three fictional characters throughout the two scenarios presented in Earth for All.
Creative examples: we’ve imagined moments in the lives of Ayotola and Samiha in the future. Use the blogs as examples and inspiration for writing projects.
